Thank you!

Ahhh yes, Christmas time. Always anticipated, always memorable. I truly do love my family. On Christmas eve my brother Ryan flew in from Arizona. My sister Roz had been in town since the 18th from Hawaii and I was now on holiday break from school as of the 16th. I had to work that night at 5:00 so my family had decided to try to take an annual family photo for our Christmas card send out we do every year. The sky’s clouds beckoned us to part at Kit’s beach and set up Ryan’s tripod. As we gallivanted close to the water and watched the sun bounce off the West End buildings, I once again was very thankful for the people in my life, especially my family. We shivered in the cold and took some beautiful pictures that afternoon. We carried on to a hotel restaurant to have a quick cocktail before I jetted off to work. I was sad to leave them.

After a very busy shift at work (busiest day after Mother’s Day and Easter) I was about to leave when I spotted my father in the lobby wondering around. As I approached him I noticed a senior bartender eyeing him wondering what he was up to. “Don’t worry Frank, that’s just my father.” Dad was looking for the little boy’s room. I pointed him in the right direction and headed down to the car which was parked out front. I approached the car, light Christmas music seeping out the doors. I opened the back door and expected to see my mom, brother and sister waiting impatiently for me. To my surprise it was just my mom in the driver’s seat, listening to some heart felt Christmas tunes. “Where is everybody?!” I asked. Mom replied, “Dad’s inside, Ryan’s taking pictures and your sister went for a walk.” We both started laughing. It was midnight and everybody was busy! One by one we climbed back in the car and made our way back to White Rock to mom and dad’s house. We needed to get to bed, Santa was coming. I snuggled into bed with my sister and went to sleep easily, thankfully being surrounded by the people I love the most. I hope one day I can create a family like the one I come from.

Merry Christmas

…is not ready yet 🙂

I took the first step by signing up, but I need some time to think about what I want to write about.

My sister and brother have inspired me to be apart of this blog world.

Hopefully fun things to come…
